Code Masters 25/11/2010
Todays guest lecture was from codemasters who are one of the oldest british game developers. They are based in Warwickshire and are responsible for classics such as the Dizzy series, Micro Machines and the Collin McRae Rally series. The guys from Codemasters were ex Bolton university students that had started working there and explained the structure of Codemaster and gave hints about writing a good CV.

Cameron came to tell us about what they do and to explain business angels in general. He explained the process of attempting to obtain funds and how to and how not to go about it.

Thomas from Iplay 16/11/2009
This week Thomas was our guest lecture from the mobile phone game developer Iplay. Iplay have worked on titles like Metal Slug mobile, Fast and Furious mobile and Zuma’s Revenge Adventure. Iplay have been developing mobile phone games for 11 years (originally called Digital Bridges) and have a large and interesting back catalogue of games on their website www.iplay.com. Thomas from Iplay works in QA and covered aspects of development, testing and some tips on getting a job.
